MScコースにサイバーセキュリティー関連の内容が追加

MScコースのアップデートがあります。先日香港科技大学工学院のスタッフから入手した最新情報ですが、2024年度のIT関連のMScコースには、サイバーセキュリティーの内容が追加されました。
以下ご参考ください。

MSc（IT）Curriculum

	Current MSc(IT)	Cybersecurity concentration
Total Credit Requirement	30 credits
Normative Duration and Mode of Study	1-year full-time                                 2-year part-time
Required Courses	Any CSIT courses	•At least 9 credits from a specified list of Cybersecurity courses •3 credits of CSIT 6910 Independent Project in Cybersecurity area

i. Complete at least 9 credits of Cybersecurity courses from the following list:

CSIT 5100  Engineering Reliable Software Systems  3 credits

CSIT 5710  Cryptography and Cybersecurity  3 credits  

CSIT 5730  Principles of Cybersecurity  3 credits

CSIT 5740  Introduction to Software Security  3 credits

CSIT 5750  Introduction to Network Security  3 credits

CSIT 6000  Topics in Information Technology*  1-3 credits

ii. Complete 3 credits of CSIT 6910 Independent Project in the Cybersecurity area:

CSIT 6910  Independent Project  1-3 credits

*    Students may also take CSIT 6000 special topics in the Cybersecurity area to fulfill the credit requirements.

CSIT 5730 Principles of Cybersecurity
Cover introduction to key cybersecurity concepts, such as basics of cryptography, software security, system security, AI security, network security, blockchains. Prepare students with little background to take advanced courses. 

CSIT 5740 Introduction to Software Security
Major topics include memory errors, static and dynamic security analysis, attacks, and defenses, binary analysis, OS security and forensics.

CSIT 5750 Introduction to Network Security
Major topics include IP layer security, firewalls, security in wireless, cellular, IoT networks.
